Mustafa on a special day for LDK: We'll carry out tasks until elections

In a Facebook text on Facebook, Mustafa says Kosovo is facing the challenge of pandemic these days, where the LDK along with better cadres is trying to do its best to overcome this situation as well.

“The LDK currently leads with Government and will be responsible and committed to carrying out constitutional duties until the results of the upcoming elections. The LDK had the courage and awareness to stand up to major processes in the most difficult times, so I am very sure that in the upcoming elections, in co-operation with all the LDK electorate structures will engage in the most successful outcome. From these elections, the LDK will emerge even more powerful, respecting the vote and civic will”, he says.

“The LDK constantly commemorates and is grateful to all activists who did not even save their lives to protect their beliefs and ideals for a free and democratic state.

The Democratic League of Kosovo will continue to be the main political formation in the country. All the interests of the state of Kosovo will be the top political priority of making the LDK, so in the end congratulations on all membership and citizens of Kosovo”, the same one has said.

LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa wishes membership anniversary of the LDK's founding

LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa, on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the establishment of the Democratic League of Kosovo, addresses membership with this communique:

Respected “LDK structures, members, activists and your sympathies,

Congratulations to all of you and the citizens of Kosovo on the day of the founding of the first party with democratic values and Western orientation.

The establishment of the LDK marks one of the most important events for our country, a group of intellectuals on December 23rd 1989 at the House of Writers in Pristina decided to establish the movement, the party that would become the main axis around which all historic processes for Kosovo were developed. It was the first party to make the foundations of political pluralism not only in the Balkans, but even wider.

Topping this party from the founding to the death was the writer, the literature scholar, historic President Dr. Ibrahim Rugova.

For these three decades the Democratic League of Kosovo was the component that its vision and main goal once had freedom, independence and democracy, while today the country's strengthening and development.

The LDK as a centre-right party, member of the European People's Party and the main political party making Kosovo has committed without stopping for a state of construction and consolidation of internal democracy. The processes Kosovo has passed, since Serbian occupation, freedom, declaration of independence, and already the challenges of strengthening the state are unhesitatingly linked to the LDK.
