Montenegro's Health Ministry said Kosovo's footnote with the introduction to an official document has been “technical error”.
Earlier, in one of the first documents of the New Government of Montenegro and the Ministry of Health of this country, which refers to new measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, Kosovo was marked by injectors.
The star near the name (Kosovo*) is placed only a few countries that have not yet recognised the state of Kosovo.
In all official documents of the Montenegrin government, Kosovo has been dealt with in line with the decision to recognise its independence, not a star by name, respectively.
“During the table preparation with new measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a technical error, with Kosovo being presented by injector. Shortly after it was observed, the Health Ministry information services have improved the mistake, which can be seen on the Ministry of Health's website and on Montenegro's Official Journal”, says a Health Ministry press service statement.
Headed by the Ministry of Health in Montenegro is medical doctor Jelena Boroviniq Bojovic.
Montenegro's new government, led by Zdravko Krivokafic, has been elected on December 4th.
It consists of three coalitions and is dominated by the Democratic Front Party.
The latter, in the past, has pledged to withdraw Kosovo's recognition.
Montenegro's government has recognised Kosovo's independence several months after its proclamation in 2008.
