Addressing members of the Civic Convention on Climate Change, Macron said the reform must first be approved by both French parliament chambers.
The “will be a constitutional reform in a provision that must be approved by both chambers. Then this sub of the Constitution will go to a referendum”, Macro added.
In France, referenda are proposed by the president if proposed by the government and parliament.
