Microbiologist Lull Raka has come up with recommendations for the country's citizens on how to protect themselves and family members during the holiday season, at a time when the fatal new cases as a result of the Coronavirus remain high.
In the last 24 hours in Kosovo alone, eight new deaths have been recorded as a result of COVID-19, while 223 new cases and 342 have been confirmed.
And while citizens await Christmas and New Year's Eve, well-known Kosovo microbiologist says health should be a priority during this period, as defending itself will at once protect everyone around you, especially people who are sensitive.
They thus recommend that citizens stay at home and contact the doctor during the holiday season for unnecessary travel and if they have symptoms similar to COVID-19.
If you defend yourself, you will protect your loved ones, especially those who are more sensitive to being affected by malady”, Raka wrote.

SHOW YOU CAN THANK TO YOU THE LAST GREAT PUSTURES
• Resting is important, but your health and the health of your family members, especially those most sensitive, should be a priority during this period.
• Avoid unnecessary travel and if you have symptoms similar to COVID-19, stay at home, do not participate in gatherings, and contact medical staff.
• Plan to spend the holiday season with as few people as possible.
• Celebrate only in your closest family circle. Avoid family and friends to the full.
• Apply precautions: physical distance, masks, and hand hygiene.
• Lower the time spent in closed (cafiter) environments to a minimum, and set up common spaces.
• If you defend yourself, you will protect your loved ones, especially those who are more sensitive to illness.
