On International Day of Persons with Limited Skills, this category in Kosovo emphasises that it faces many challenges.
Faruk Kukaj, who has been working in HANDIOS for 30 years, says one of their biggest challenges is access to various objects.
I have very little time to move. I'm devoted to working for the disabled. I have less free time. I hired two personal assistants who cared for my daily needs”.
“Most of the biggest obstacle is full approach. In the city to receive services, it is very difficult. There are many institutional objects that don't have access, or they don't have it by the standards”, Kukaj says, reports Klan Kosova.
He has expressed that thanks to his family in the past he has moved more.
He has even said that over three decades ago he worked in downtown Pristina.
I had a time with a mini-business I sold ice cream 35 years ago. Trouble has had enough. The approach has not been satisfactory at all. I've had many barriers”
