Klink calls for EULEX competencies lifted

KLA OVL Chairman Faton Klinku's task has been voiced for removing the powers of the European mission in our country, commemorating the March revolt that led to UNMIK's departure from Kosovo, according to him. He wrote on a Facebook status that because his dignity was violated....

He at a Facebook status has written that because of being violated by the dignity of foreigners, the popular revolt of March 2004 has revealed U n NMIC from Kosovo.

We were asked as the KLA War Organisation in 2011 to remove EULEX competencies, and these foreigners are now violating the state. Is the State expecting an uprising?

EULEX has completed its mandate on June 14th. In 2018, his executive mission was changed to an advisory mission, since authorities in Kosovo were estimated to have failed to fight corruption and organised crime, adding that numerous links for corruption within this mission and the poor results in the fight against organised crime greatly damaged its credibility.

And in July of this year, former President Hashim Thaci has agreed to a year-long technical extension of EULEX's mandate with a correspondence with the chief of European diplomacy.

“I am very pleased to have completed my correspondence with Josep Borrell for extending EULEX's current mandate until 14 June 2021. This period will enable Kosovo institutions to further benefit from EU assistance in rule of law and help us make progress towards the EU”, Thaci wrote on Twitter.

Otherwise, EULEX's mandate has been negotiated every two years and the mandate has gradually been reduced and competencies are being carried over to the locals.
