Atmospheric conditions that have been increasing in the Dukagjin region in recent days have caused significant damage to the power grid in that area, resulting in consumers supplied by wind - prone exits have remained without electricity supply. The most hit were Decan and Peja. As a result of powerful winds and other atmospheric factors, many electrical poles have been pulled down, as well as many conveyors and other monitoring stabilizers have broken.
KEDS has immediately mobilised and engaged dozens of teams that have taken to the ground to sabotage damage done and restore electricity supplies at the earliest possible time for residents of the infected areas. Climate conditions in remote mountainous areas, such as Rugova or some of the remotest areas of Decani, are making it difficult to do so, as there is snow. KEDS, in addition to the workers of this region, has immediately sent additional teams from other Kosovo regions to come up to help weather the destruction as soon as possible
Breakdowns at the Middle Tension level are expected to be completely arranged by tonight
KEDS urges citizens that if they see any abnormalities in the electrical network not to approach it, but to immediately announce KEDS through communication channels, especially in the number of calls center 0800 791 00.
