The daily number of new infected people is lower than the day before and reaches 10,872, but a smaller number of tests were conducted over the weekend, resulting in a smaller number of new cases recorded.
Since the beginning of the epidemic in Italy, a total of 69,214 deaths have been registered with COVID, mostly in Europe, and over 1.96 million cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, Reuters reports.
Currently, 25,415 people infected with the corona virus have settled in Italian hospitals, and 2,731 in intensive care units.
