Italy is considering imposing stricter restrictions on pandemics during Christmas and New Year's holidays.
Authorities are concerned that in the month of January, there may be an increase in the number of people infected with coronarys. On Sunday crowds flocked to shops and shopping malls, as the country has eased some of the measures it imposed last month.
On December 13th, Italy reported 484 deaths associated with the Coronavirus. On Saturday, this country exceeded Great Britain, as the European country with the highest death toll.
The government could impose measures under the so-called deadlocking rules “of the red zone” from December 24th to January 2nd, extending the curfew at night, then preventing the non- tomorrow movement and closing shops, bars and restaurants during weekends and holidays, except those selling essential goods, Italian media reported.
The people's “tours are unwarranted, irrational, irresponsible”, Italian Regional Affairs Minister Francesco Boccia told the Italian daily La Repubblica.
