All of Italy will be classified “red zone”, the strictest level of restriction, for Christmas and New Year's Eve, but the Italians will have the right to leave their homes to attend a family dinner or dinner, but in limited numbers, under a decree issued today.
“Halfys closed: yes for dinner”, <x2estestest Christmas with red, with two parents”, Italian newspapers today reported the bad news insisting on the possibility of limited family holidays.
Italians will be able to travel once a day to their region to visit relatives or friends, outside the already existing curfew (2200-0500:00).
After several days of procrastination, Italy's prime minister, one of the most affected countries by the coronary pandemic, announced yesterday evening a restraining plan for the holiday season from December 21st to January 6th, the ATS reported.
This plan aims to reduce travel and gatherings during the most festive days, while the spread of the coronary remains high.
Our “Experts fear that the climbing curve will increase during the Christmas period”, chief executive Giuseppe Fonte stressed.
He acknowledged that authorities had neither the means nor the will to monitor the respect of restrictive measures at home, but he asked the Italians to respect the two adult guests border.
Starting from December 24th to January 6th, all bars and restaurants will be closed, but can make errand sales.
The government however agreed that during this isolation, there will be a four-day isolation classified “orange” -- a spirit of freedom where all businesses can reopen their doors (28, 29, 30 December) and on January 4th until 9: 00 p.m.
At this time Italians can walk freely in their municipalities without special authorization.
