Infermies' Union Chairman Fitim Havolli has announced that after a meeting held with Kosovo University Clinical Hospital Service Director Valbon Krasniqi, as well as anesthesiologist Lulzim Emini, they have decided to suspend their strike.
“Today, after a long meeting with USKKUK Director Dr. Valbon Krasniqi and Anesthesiologist, Dr. Lulzim Eminen, who we thank so much for visiting and supporting today's strikers of five days, Secretary of the Infermier, Enlirat Durak, has written on Facebook about his hunger strike decision.
“Just as we have welcomed and praised Enlirat's decision on our legitimate demands, so today, considering the heavy state of our hospitals with Covis and the need for skilled nurses and workers, such as Enlirat Duraku, we agreed jointly with our common request to suspend the strike until the meeting and a situation close to the Health Minister for achieving legitimate and very demanding demands by the Union of Infermies with the entire months<1x>
In any case, Havoli has congratulated on the initial meeting to be held the day after tomorrow, a deal on meeting the nurses' demands will be reached.
We will be confident in the hope of the meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, we will reach the agreement to implement our demands because our demands are also in the best interests of our health institutions!”
