US imposes sanctions on Putin's close ally

The Finance Ministry announced that, in addition to Cadyrov, it imposed sanctions on six companies registered in Russia, as well as on five individuals, all closely linked to Putin, Reuters reported.
Sanctions will also be introduced for three people in Haiti, for human rights violations, as well as for five people linked to security and intelligence agencies controlled by Hutu to Yemen.
The State Department today announced sanctions against 17 officials from China and other foreign governments, as well as members of their close family, for serious human rights violations.
Among the officials are individuals from Salvador and Jamaica, State Secretary Mike Pompeo said, adding that a Chinese man was sanctioned for involvement in <x0 large human rights violations” by religious movement members Falun Gong, Reuters reports.
This movement was established in 1992, and in 1999 it was declared heretic in China.
