At least 6 people have been reported dead as a result of massive traffic accidents in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
Snow, up to 60 inches [60 cm] in length, has left more than 7,000 homes and electricity - free businesses in Virginia and New Jersey. More than 1,300 aircraft flights have been canceled.
In a social networking post, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio asked citizens to take the situation seriously.
The storm has also affected the pandemic, forcing many large cities to temporarily stop testing for Avid-19, while the vaccine transporters have said the storm will not stop their work and the distribution will continue even though some hospitals are predicting delays in remittances.
