Hoti: Party has not yet decided about candidate for prime minister

After visiting medical personnel at the University Clinical Hospital Service, Hoti also said the 2021 budget would be voted before distribution of the Parliament.

Hoti said the following days The LDK will decide on the candidate it will enter the election race with.

“We have not yet discussed this matter with our party structures, I believe that in the coming days this issue will be concluded, I hope the decision will also become public with the Constitutional Court and then we enter constitutional deadlines that we must respect”, Hoti said.

But according to Hoti, the decision on new elections is currently indisputable.

The long-term election organisation has been challenging, but now this is a decision that is not discussed and we have to make all necessary preparations and all relevant institutions that are responsible for organising the elections will have full support both of the government and other institutions to organise free and democratic elections”, he said.

Linked to the budget for 2021, Hoti expects it to be voted before the distribution of the Kosovo Assembly.

And for that, he said they are consulting with all parliamentary groups.

“I hope that today during the day, we will eventually know when the sessions to protect the budget can be held tomorrow because it is very important, we cannot enter January without budget approval, even on election issues, but in particular on the budget we need for health and the budget for economic recovery”, he said.

Two earlier, the Constitutional Court ruled that Hoti Government has been elected unconstitutionally and found the country must go to new elections.
