This year, because of our pandemic, we are forced to celebrate differently, not according to our Albanian tradition by embracing each other. I pray that we will celebrate other festivals under better circumstances. Nevertheless, we commend one another with hearts, with prayers to Yahweh for peace and prosperity for our families and for all mankind. For a lot of weather”, Hot said.
Full wish:
Tonight Catholic believers around the world celebrate Christmas, the day that symbolizes the peace between God and mankind, and among peoples.
The two millennium tradition of Christianity among Albanians is a determining factor in our unique cultural and spiritual character. We are examples of understanding and harmony in diversity. History has determined us to have different beliefs, but this has never prevented us from loving each other even more so that we can celebrate all our holidays together.
At this special feast, we proudly remember that our ancestors Ilio-dardane gave the first martyrs of Christianity in this part of Europe, St. Florin and St. Laurel.
Through St. Jerome, we gave the Western world the message of the Gospel, while the Holy See was sometimes guided by the Illyrian-Albanian popes.
In later times, our nation gave all mankind a model of love, mercy, and wisdom, St. Mother Teresa.
President Rugova was fond of his relationship with the Holy See. His friendship with Pope John Paul II remains a guide in our dealings with the Vatican.
On this special day, I want to thank the Kosovo Catholic Church, which has always been the voice of reason, love and brotherhood between ethnicity and religions in our country. The cooperation of our Archbishop with other religious communities is an example for other countries as well.
Once again expressing the best wishes to all of you, brothers and sisters of the Catholic faith, I wish that this holiday would strengthen the love between us and the people around the globe.
For a long time.
Merry Christmas.
