Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti said the Pristina delegation does not go to Brussels to do Serbia favour.
We started the dialogue in Brussels in July with a clearness I believe in, at the Paris Summit, organised by France's president and German Chancellorship. And there at that Sam with our insistence we put two issues on the table and asked for agreement. And there is agreement for those who are first that the agreement must be concluded with mutual recognition and full normalisation of relations, and dialogue should be limited on time. And this time is a matter of months. The process of dialogue and changes that took place in specialised areas are separate issues because we do not go to Brussels to do favour to Serbia. We go to Brussels to protect the interest of the state of Kosovo, and this interest is for this agreement to be closed as soon as possible with mutual recognition”.
Hoti, meanwhile, commented on the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia in the presence of US President Donald Trump.
We won a list of US pledges and with their political and financial support for normalising economic relations with Serbia. We signed this”.
Our request and desire remain to sign an agreement for full normalisation of relations and mutual recognition as soon as possible. That way we move together towards EU integration. What we were offered in Washington is to follow up with a list of vows for both countries. We took vows in separate documents in the presence of the President of the United States for working together. With political support, particularly financial support from the United States of America”.
“While we're talking, conversations are under way with the DFC, with some of our ministries on some projects that are part of the deal, such as highways, railways, gas pipelines, some business projects, etc. It's an agreement that changes economic circumstances to religion. Meanwhile, dialogue is continuing and in Brussels on some of the” issues, Hoti has said in an interview at Oranews.al.
