Hashim Thaci's “Support Foundation for Juridic Protection is founded”

Support for Hashim Thaci's legal protection has already been established in the “Support for the Jury Protection Foundation.

This foundation established on the basis of the laws in force is aimed at supporting the judicial protection of former President Thaci, providing financial support to enable real protection, technical and professional assistance for the defence team under this judicial process, as well as co-operation with all interests intended to advance truth and the history of the freedom of President Thaci and the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Through a communique sent to the media, it has become known that the Foundation Board in the coming days will address public opinion, where it will present more detail plans and priorities.

Honored citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,

Being fully aware of the purity of the Kosovo Liberation Army's freedom struggle, as well as remembering the sacrifice of our people in front of the Serbian regime that committed genocide crimes against the civilian population in Kosovo during 1998-1999;

Honoring the fallen martyrs for freedom and remembering all civilian victims caused by the Serbian regime during the war of liberation, as well as trusting fully in the innocence of Kosovo Liberation Army soldiers to war crimes charges;

Above all, by standing firm for the truth of our history, through this communiqué, we announce that the “Foundation for Jury Protection of Hashim Thaci” was established with the aim of legal support for President Thaci, to whom an indictment was established in the judicial process near the Specialised Chambers.

The foundation is founded on the basis of law in effect in the Republic of Kosovo and aims to support President Thaci's legal protection. Some of the foundation's basic activities are like the following:

1. Legal and transparent organisation for the establishment of funds and providing financial support to enable literal legal protection for President Thaci, along the development of the judicial process against him;

1. Offering technical and professional assistance to the defence team under this judicial process, with the aim of arguing President Thaci's innocence in the face of charges against him;

1. Co-operation with all interests involved in advancing truth and war history for the freedom of President Thaci and the Kosovo Liberation Army;

The foundation was founded at the initiative of Mr. Idriz Thaci, brother of President Thaci. The foundation will have the Board, which exercises responsibility for operating the Foundation, as well as the manager staff that will carry the tasks related to the foundation's goals and activities.

The next few days, the Foundation Board will address public opinion, where it will present the Foundation's plans and priorities in more detail.

The foundation will serve as the only address for higher goals and will integrate any financial assistance for President Thaci's legal defence purposes, legally, transparent and professionally.
