Four decisions have been made at the next meeting of the Government of Kosovo, decisions related to the management of pandemic.

The first decision adopted at today's meeting is the Health Ministry's proposal for the transfer of means from the programme to the category of capital spending, project “Construction of the hospital facility at Ferizaj, in many of the five hundred twenty-seven thousand one hundred fifty-four euros (527,145). Of these tools, 477, 154 (four hundred seventy-seven thousand an hundred and fifty-four euros) will be transferred to the category of capital spending on the “Medical Action for the Department of Microbiology and Testing Labs”; and total of 50,000 (five thousand euros), in the capital spending category in the “project. Prison Health Service, capital equipment” on the Prison Health Department program.

Today's meeting has been approved by the government cabinet as well as the other Health Ministry proposal authorising the Health Minister for bringing up the regulation for terms of compensation and other procedures of the provisional engagement of health professionals. The decision is said to argue that increased demand for the engagement of health professionals and support staff during the COVIID-19 pandemic, due to the overload of patients infected with COVID-19 and the infection of health professionals with COVID-19, it is necessary to bring about regulation on conditions, compensation, and other procedures for the temporary commitment of health professionals and support staff during the COVID ward.

The next decision adopted by the government cabinet endorses the Health Ministry's request, authorising the payment of a 100% advance, worth 7.971.043.11 Euro, for supply of medical equipment needed for preventing and fighting COVID 19. Avanc is delivered in the next fiscal year and remains open on a 7-month deadline and will be closed, respectively, reasoned by the Ministry of Health as the bills and equipment ordered under medical equipment purchase procedures, but not later than 30.06.2021. The decision allows the Ministry of Health to undertake all necessary legal procedures for implementation of the Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the International Development Association regarding the financing of the Individual-19 Kosovo Emergency Project, which is based on the Agreement between the Kosovo Health Ministry (MSH) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

The government has also approved the decision on negotiating the bilateral agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and Luxembourg's Great Dutch Government for the Development Co-operation Project; The Kosovo Health Support Programme (Faza II). During the negotiation of this agreement, the Health Ministry is obliged to proceed with the constitutional provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, the Law for International Agreements and other legal provisions in force.
