Six months ago, the party led by Albin Kurti had complained to the Constitutional, claiming that the Government is unlegging, as its 61st vote was given by MP Etem Arifi, who was sentenced to court ruling.
The Vetevendosje movement in this session is represented by MP Artan Abrashi and party member Blerim Sa Godi. The government by lawyer Besnik Berisha, meanwhile, the chief parliament office by Vjosa Osmani's legal adviser, Artan Murati.
This session will include members of the Commission for Legislation, Rock Manaj.
The public hearing where the legality of MP Etem Arifi's vote will be discussed began at 10:00. Due to pandemic, the session is running online.
The parties involved will be given the opportunity to briefly present their arguments through presentations.
They should be limited to facts and important issues involving demand. The chairman could limit each side the time period set for this presentation until, during the hearing, judges could ask representatives of the parties questions, or directly any party.
After the hearing ends, the court will withdraw for consultations. The same remain confidential until the Court's draft decision is reached and prepared.
Etem Arifi was one of 61 deputies who voted in favour of electing the Hoti government. For Albin Kurti's party, Vetevendosje, which was ousted by power, the Ashkali Party MP's vote is unvalid for the fact that he has been convicted of corruption with the court's final decision.
Therefore, LVV was directed for interpretation in Constitutional. Any decision of this body can bring a new political situation to the country.
