The Fireworkers Union in this case has been addressed with a public letter to all state institutions, through which it requires positive reflection and firefighters to prioritize as they have the sacred profession, the mission, salvation of human life and material goods.
This is the complete response without the interference of the Fireship Union:
Yesterday the Kosovo Assembly held the session in which the budget was scheduled and budgetary divisions for 2021, Kosovo Firemen with curiosity conveyed the job of the Parliament, that maybe the country's institutions will finally reflect positively and that the firefighters will be given priority as they have the sacred profession, the mission, saving human life and material goods.
The wait was because the union once again addressed the letter so that the firemen would not be overlooked, we requested that discriminations and legal violations be first interrupted on the shoulders of firefighters for decades
The request to the Government of Kosovo relevant ministries, Parliament Speaker Mrs. Vjosa Osmani, the heads of all Parliamentary Groups, the Security Commission in the Assembly, didn't get your attention and get deaf and say everything is okay with the Minister, it wasn't enough to open the public letter to all relevant decision ministries, The MPBs, the Ministry of Finance and Transfers, the Commission for Security in the country that we addressed, where we urgently asked to discuss the unresolved and unresolved issue of Kosovo firefighters.
We continued to meet and contact with all governments indiscriminately, each prime minister, for years, that we also had a meeting with Prime Minister Hoti and Z. Primes, Tahiri and Selmanaj, who were also informed of the serious and unacceptable situation that has engulfed Kosovo firemen.
But as often as nothing concrete, no serious response and approach to solving the problems that have been accumulated for years, we are surprised at the relevant government institutions, the relevant ministries surprised at the positions of MPs and all those we've addressed, that at least in the responsible institutions, the unsolved issue, or to be discussed as the problem presented in the necessary emergency security service, but the firefighters once again fell down and skipped every time so far and in an unfair way.
Our demands are fair, law-based, we've requested conditions for work, safety equipment that offer security for our health and life, we've asked for legal status, define management competencies, know who the employer is, and who should take care of the terms for jobs and duties that firemen have faced.
MPs and our institutions don't know how firemen act, how their lives are at risk of saving others, they don't know how many firefighters are in our country, or in the municipalities where they come from and represent them, they don't know that firemen don't have any personal equipment, with untainted vehicles, which sometimes have to push to turn them on, without health insurance, without institutional care, without systematic control, without protection, even in terms of job spending, the average age of 48 years with low-level wages, the locals are not the only ones that are used for shifts, and holidays, without adequate work, and professional work, such as well-designed and unprinable.
This happens that the institutional representatives never went down to the field and that the relatives care about what it is like to be a fireman, even though since 2010 we've been constantly looking for and reflecting the real situation and we've asked for solutions to come up, so that the firemen could be willing to confront and offer help when citizens want to find out what the emergency situation is.
The silence in Kosovo's assembly today by elected representatives faced the problems of fire service is shameful and insulting, the neglect made to firefighters is unacceptable, they don't deserve this treatment, today there were deputies in the hall who had previously had ministers' posts, and they very well know the problem and the promises they have made, and when they have not realized, disappointing and total responsibility, how it's possible that no step of money can be made as long as it comes to shame, whether they realize what force Kosovo has for protection and whether or even understand that their families can be threatened and that they should be sought by firemen without support and support for you.
Firefighters even during the pandemic were discriminated against and skipped, no one cared about the categories of employees, because Kosovo firefighters have no institutional care, no employers and no budget to develop capacities and prepare to face the possible challenges they are called for.
Finally a question for all institutions, do you know how much investment there is in fire service, how much investment in fire service is there? And what's the fire budget? They don't know, because they have no interest and the number of firefighters is small and they don't have the interest of votes, otherwise we can't understand this shameful silence of our institutions.
We will engage and insist on our rights, follow all possible ways and forms to finally convince and force institutions to fulfill the legal obligations they have against the Saviors.
