Experts seek to draw up third package for economic recovery

Taking into account delays in adopting the Plan for Economic Recovery, the largest opposition party, Vetevendosje Movement, is claiming that this Government has no will and ability to produce even a new package for the support of citizens and businesses in the pandemic.

Although Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has warned that for the year 2021, this government has seen a new package of recovery in the amount of 182m euros.

Commission for Board and Finance Chairman Iron Murati says that this Government has no planning and a health strategy and a plan to save the economy as a result of the David-19 pandemic.

While, MP The PDK, Kujtim Gashi, says Kosovo had to already have a third or fourth package for recovery, as he said the region's countries have done the same.

Gashi stresses that with this negligence the government has shown, it has brought enormous damage to the country and its economy.

While adding that the PDK will not support the budget's approval, according to this party, support for the management of pandemic and economy as a whole has not been envisioned.

Former head of the Kosovo Economic Ode Safet Gerjaliu states that the government should have a new approach to support the economy and the private sector.

While Deputy Finance Minister Agim Krasniqi tells Kosovo Press that this ministry has not seen a third package for recovery, except for the package for economic recovery with additional health funds.
