The English system for testing and monitoring of COVID-19 allows for paying support of around 550 euros for people isolated after receiving an application notice, it was announced today.
The money was already available for people who were ordered to isolate themselves through a Contact Tracking Program via telephone, email or message, but not through an app due to anonymity, Reuters reports.
Any individual who receives a self-issolation warning on the app can now register his data in order to receive payment, the service announced.
The strong protection of user privacy was a key requirement imposed by Apple and Google when they made technology available to develop apps to track contact people infected with COVID-19.
Individual users should not introduce personal data when enrolled to use the app, which means that automatically created self-isolation requirements are not binding. The user will remain anonymous after receiving the announcement if he does not want to ask for money, the service announced.
Financial assistance has been created as an incentive for people to stay home when they receive positive test results for COVID-19, in order to slow the spread of the coronary virus.
