Edi Rama: If I wasn't prime minister, I'd be out in protest.

Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has reacted once again to journalists over last days' protests following the murder of 25-year-old Klodian Rasa by the state police. The head of the Albanian government said the protest is an indisputable right and that if it hadn't been [...]
The head of the Albanian government said the protest is an indisputable right and that if it had not been prime minister it would have taken part in protest to express indignation, but not violently.
“The right to protest is indisputable, inconsistent, but that doesn't mean protesters are always right. And that's where democratic and undemocratic governments are divided. How could they be questioned from the street, not these people, but like 500 thousand people, after which they ask you to leave and the Police Director. It's not on the street, it's based on what's right. It was fair for the government to apologize, not because it was up to you, but that the boy was killed by the army of State”.
The interior minister was right to insist that he should leave, not that he had responsibilities, not direct or indirect, but that it was right that the message of participation in the pain of that family was not only in words and that the interior minister would morally say what he said. These were not made as a result of the” protest.
And if I hadn't been prime minister, I would have been in protest. But not to be thrown to the throat of the police and captured the interior ministry's canats, but to prove the indignation citizens, as well as the civic determination to seek justice. Do not forget the essence that at the first moment the most correct position has been maintained, Rama said.
