Cosnett with big words: In Kosovo, Americans feel at home

Far from home and relatives, serving as representative of the most powerful state in the world, in a small country such as Kosovo, the ambassador of the United States of America, Philip S. Cosnett delivers messages of hope and love to all people on these last-year holidays that this year throughout [...]
In an interview, Ambassador Costnett speaks of experiences in Kosovo, during this year's pandemic, challenges, emotions, joys and sorrows, lack of work and normal life, etc.
“I have the honor of serving as a US ambassador to Kosovo and leading a team of professionals devoted to both countries. I believe that the things that the US wants for Kosovo are peace with neighbouring countries and between communities, a reliable system of justice, prosperity and opportunity, are the things Kosovo people want and deserve. Above all, we want Kosovo to take its place in the world as an independent and self-sufficient democracy. Governments do not always agree on specific issues, but the foundations of the relationship are solid.
Costett also spoke of the pandemic situation, where COVID-19, also affected the embassy due to the failure of several projects.
We certainly had missed opportunity this year. For example, when the pandemic was just beginning, in February last, I was in New York talking to the diaspora leaders about increasing diaspora involvement in Kosovo, not only through investments, but also through sharing experience in numerous areas. There was a lot of interest. Pandemia cost us a year in implementing several projects. I still want to follow this initiative. We have a “Man plans and God laughs” You have to plan for the future, but you have to stay flexible”, Costett told the KP.
