The new coronary variation even in Switzerland records the first cases

The cantons from which these samples came were warned by BAG that this more contagious option could be circulated among them. But BAG has not discovered which cantons are involved in the new Coronavirus variable, which appeared days ago in Great Britain, has been discovered for the time [...]
The new coronary version, which appeared days ago in Great Britain, has also been first discovered in Switzerland today. BAG assumes that people affected are in isolation.
Individuals in question are citizens of Great Britain who are currently in Switzerland where they are tested.
Mutation in question has been discovered in two samples from people who were positive, writes Federal Public Health Office (BAG) on a media statement, on Christmas Eve, broadcasts albinfo.ch. The virus has also been discovered earlier today, for the first time even in Germany.
The samples have been treated at the National Reference Centre for Virtual Diseases recently presented in Geneva.
BAG says the two affected persons are known by name. The cantons from which these samples came were warned by BAG that this more contagious option could be circulated among them. But, BAG has not found out which cantons are involved.
However, one canton has already confirmed the news about one of the two people. The people contacted by them are in quarantine. A second canton is currently in the process of contacting the person in question.
Is mutation guilty of actually this high number of cases? It is important to note that there is currently no evidence that the spread of the new version occurred because of a mutation that increases transmission or affects the flow of the disease, says epidemiologist Emma Hodcroft of Basil University.
