In an exclusive interview for Television 7, former Ambassador William Walker has said his contract with the Kosovo Presidency has not been continued.
His name became very controversial once again in Kosovo. It all started, when President Vjosa Osmani's task officer spoke of a contract the presidency has with “Walker Foundation”
William Walker, himself, decided that for the first time after this situation, he would explain the details of the event.
Although the contract has not been officially continued, William Walker indicates that it is dependent on the presidency, not him. He shows that U.d, Vjosa Osmani, has called on the phone following numerous reactions in Kosovo, as no contracts were continued.
We talked a few days ago. She called and explained what happened to her misinterpretation of her words, but the contract has not been officially extended. We'll have to discuss a new contract with the Presidency, with Vjosa Osmani, whether we want a new contract or not, or if they want a new contract. So we discussed a lot of things, I explained in detail what the foundation was founded for and what I've been trying to do for Kosovo for 20 years actually, but as a foundation for the last few years”
The former OSCE ambassador, who in wartime revealed the crimes Serbia was committing in Kosovo, showed what activity this foundation had.
“We have established the foundation to help basically the Albanian issue, not only Kosovo or Albania, but for Albanians everywhere in the diaspora, in their homeland to help unite them so they can work better together. And we were told that if the foundation wanted to help Kosovo, the best possible way was to reach an agreement with the Presidency, not personally with Hashim Thaci, to see if we could somehow co-operate to help the foundation do what it was founded to do”, Walker has said.
The value of the contract that the Walker foundation had signed with the presidency, at the time when the first state was Hashim Thaci, is 7,000 euros per month.
Yet Walker says he does not personally receive this money, but the foundation his friend Hasan Salihu leads.
Exactly a week ago, President Vjosa Osmani's task officer, said this agreement has expired and has not been continued, though it had deadlines until December 31st.
Osman then changed words and blamed the media for misinterpreting what he had said.
It seems that attitude was conveyed to the former OSCE ambassador, in the conversation they later held.
It actually had no power to tear it off, at the end of December it would end under the agreement we reached with Hashim Thaci's presidency. The contract ends as defined in the contract on December 31st, and as I understand there was a confusion in public since President Osmani's Duty Guide said something inside these lines, but the media took it and interpreted it as if she had cut off the” contract.
Meanwhile, Ousmani Walker had announced a day after the event the presidency itself.
The official communiqué reportedly has agreed to continue co-operation.
Former Ambassador of O The SEU had been Kosovo's voice in the Recak massacre, as it personally saw 45 civilians killed by Serb forces, and for almost every anniversary of that massacre he visits Kosovo.
