This news has been revealed by CEC spokesman Valmir Elez.
The Central Election Commission is already awaiting the decision announcing the election date in order to begin with intensive preparations for organising these elections”, Elezi has said.
Elez said these elections are challenging because of the pandemic.
The “we are in time of pandemic, and of course these elections are challenging to the fact that the CEC, along with technical preparations for organising these elections, must also deal with the implementation of health institutions' measures or recommendations related to the protection of citizens' health during the election process”, Elez has said of Periscope.
He said the CEC has no budget for these elections, as they have not been planned.
The Central Election Commission has no budgetary means planned for this election process, which is not planned. Therefore, the CEC will in time prepare the budgetary demand, which will be forwarded to the Government of Kosovo for approval at the time when these elections are announced”, Elez has declared.
Kosovo's 2019 parliamentary elections had cost about 5m euros.
