The European Barnat Agency will make a decision on December 29th if it will provide the green framework for the first vaccines, as an official confirmation is required by the European Commission before distribution.
British scientist Sayan Meryl Griffith has told Croatian media about the vaccine in Great Britain and what she expects of vaccines. She says she's very positive for the vaccine.
I expect a little negative effect, since we've had very little side effects. The vaccine will first go to hospitals, to the most vulnerable, the most in need. These are the elderly, then those who were endangered immunity, and only then the rest of the population, but not before the next spring”, Griffiths said.
She confirmed that she feels it is a bold decision by Great Britain to be the first to start with the vaccine.
We expect to vaccinate anyone who needs it. I think everyone in the scientific community supports our decision. The vaccine has been assessed in terms of quality, efficiency and security,” she said.
