According to BBC, Nick Loman, a microbiology expert from the University of Birmingham and part of the consortium and genetics of COVIDD-19 in the United Kingdom ( The new version seems to have appeared spontaneously “from nowhere” late September.

The small number of cases soon led to much more growth, which made experts interested in the matter.

According to them, this would have to be monitored for weeks to see if it's more infectious than other versions of COVID-19.

In that space of time, there is also an opportunity for the new version of the gate to disappear as quickly as it has arrived.
