“Based on current data, we expect the immunity caused by the Modern vaccine to be protective of the variants recently described at MB”, Moderna said in a statement.
We will conduct additional tests in the coming weeks to confirm this expectation. ”
Pfizer said that now it's “generating data” how well blood samples from immune people with its vaccine “may be able to neutralise the new type of coronary in the United Kingdom”.
Pfizer and Modernna make the only two coronary vaccines authorized by the American Food and Bars Administration.
For the new version of COVID-19, two companies say they have found their vaccines functioning even against other strains of the virus.
