The US government has demanded that all airline passengers arriving from the United Kingdom be equipped with a negative test for COVID-19 taken 72 hours before departure.
The decision becomes known to take effect from December 27th.
The decision follows the presentation of a new, very efficient version of the Coronourvirus in Great Britain, which has prompted many countries to close their borders for travelers from there.
Other countries have also taken steps to prevent the spread of the new coronary version. Hong Kong imposed quarantine measures for all visitors outside China, as Germany announced it had confirmed its first case with the new version of the Coronobrus, OraNews reports.
Officials say there is no evidence that new strains of the virus in the United Kingdom and South Africa are more lethal or will be resistant to vaccines.
