That is how Serbian media are reportedly reporting that, according to the statement, Alfred stressed that the interest of the United States is Serbia's membership in the European Union, which would further contribute to stability in the region, as well as prosperity and economic growth.

He noted that the United States, as before, will continue to provide support for Serbia in the EU membership process.

He expressed expectations that the agreements concerning co-operation between Serbia and the United States, primarily the Science and Technology Agreement and the Investment Promoting Agreement, will soon be in the parliamentary procedure and will undergo ratification by the National Assembly.

US Ambassador and Obradovic talked about intensifying American-Serbian relations, and Obradovic praised that relations between the two countries are on the rise and that co-operation is becoming better.

He stressed that it is extremely important for Serbia to have associates and friends in the United States, which is also the state interest of our country.

In a conversation with the ambassador, he noted the importance of the Washington Agreement, which was signed in September this year, whose implementation contributes to regional and economic co-operation, as well as dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
