“A new type of coronary appeared in Denmark, Holland and had a case in Australia, but did not spread further there,” said Van Kerkhoveve for the BBC, as reported by CNN.
Asked whether the new kind came from the south-born England, she responded positively.
“Yes. According to information England shares with us, the new species came either from the southeast of England or from London,” said Van Kerkovo.
She added that Great Britain determined the existence of a new type of virus “again in September, which was still flowing southeast of England”.
We are concerned about the spread of the virus and the fact that there are many mutations. We are aware that the new type does not cause more serious cases according to preliminary results, however, studies are under way and we will see the results,” she said.
Van Kerkovo said further ranking will be useful to find out if this type is being circulated elsewhere in the world.
The longer this species spreads, the greater the possibility of change. We really have to do everything to stop it “, WHO representative concluded.
Earlier, Great Britain Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the new type of coronary was 70% more contagious than previous species.
