A video that is being circulated on social networks, Syla is seen being punched by an unknown person.
In connection with the case, the AGK has contacted the Kosovo Police, who have confirmed that they have accepted information about the attack on journalist Valon Syla.
“Today around 12:05, we have received the tip that journalist was attacked in Payton County. The police unit has arrived at the scene and contacted the journalist over the phone, who has declared that there is no need for medical treatment at the moment. We are waiting for him to receive further information”, said Kosovo Police spokesman for AGK, Bucky Kelani.
The AGK is seeking from justice bodies that as soon as they investigate the motives of the attack and clarify the case, which basically undermines freedom of expression and media.
Each attack on journalists is an attack on free speech and democracy in the country.
