AAK's Selmanaj declared after new condition by PDK over presidential post

The candidacy of AAK chairman Ramush Haradinaj for president of the country has raised reactions from other parties that are not supporting his candidacy.

The incumbent party chairman Enver Hoxhaj in an interview says the PDK is firm that it will not vote for any candidate other than their candidate.

If PDK votes are required, the candidate must be proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo, must pass through the PDK leadership table. But if the other parliamentary parties in the Assembly can agree and elect the president without our votes we are in order”, Hoxhaj has said.

And AAK deputy Rasim Selmanaj in a statement to Periscope stresses that the party he is in will not release a pen in that direction.

Selmanaj even ironifies with the PDK while saying that perhaps the PDK will propose Haradinaj for president.

Perhaps the PDK is proposing Ramush Haradinaj for president of the country. We have our proposal in time, even at the same time, which is already public. We have no reason to change me. I think that by the time we have ahead, Kosovo has to face some topics that should not be easy -- that Kosovo needs a decisive leadership and witnessed -- I don't think there can be any better proposal than Haradinaj for president of the country, after Selmanaj.

We remember that Vjosa Osmani was appointed president of Kosovo on November 5th because President Hashim Thaci resigned after confirming the indictment for war crimes and crimes against humanity by the Specialised Chambers in The Hague./Mr. R/ PERISCOP/
