Teachers and students prefer to keep the learning process in schools, and the same calls for the second half anniversary. This is among the findings of the report “Learning in the pandemic” presented today by the EdGard Institute.

Report author Mirlind Behluli said the purpose of this research has been to fill the void of information for online learning, instruction in pandemic and return to schools.

A total of 523 junior high school students and 312 painful and class teachers participated in this research.

Behluli, announced that the data provided by the Ministry of Education and Science, that of the 25 thousand tested with COVID-19, there were 2,000 and 301 teachers and a thousand and 649 students.

“97 percent of teachers estimate the decision to return to school as appropriate, so when we asked them how you valued the education ministry's decision to return to school 97 percent of teachers have said that it is the right decision... we've tried to measure the efficiency of teaching and the efficiency of the teaching because even MlA has data, but we've tried to measure efficiency in teaching... Only 24 percent think it's not lost, and also a little 36 percent lost, an average of 27 percent lost, a majority lost 12 percent and so unfortunately given that it's all lost 21 percent, he said.

Behluli said 72 per cent of teachers claim that learning should be continued with physical presence in schools.

When asked about teaching with physical presence in schools, 72 percent of teachers say physical presence should be continued and the impact of pandemic on the quality of teaching and teaching. So every second teacher claims that the pandemic has had a bad effect on teaching, so half of them believe it's had a bad effect on teaching... online and remote learning, 83 percent of teachers say they've all maintained or most of the online lessons”, he said.

Founded in this report, Behluli said it is also that teachers and students feel secure in schools in conditions of inndemate.

“3 in 4 educators say they've felt nothing, little or an average comfort in online learning, so teachers don't feel very comfortable with online learning, so there's 82 percent of them saying that physical presence should be continued. So, the UN should continue to teach online as the last alternative. The students' perceptions, they appreciate the return to schools as appropriate, 87 per cent of them say they missed school, 92 per cent say they feel very happy with going back to schools. So, both teachers and students feel safe in schools under the unedited conditions”, he said.

He said that 60 percent of students think that pandemic has had a bad influence on education, until he said every second student doesn't own a computer at home and 76 percent of them say they followed the lesson over the phone.

Another finding of this report is about reading to students, where during 2020 Kosovo students have read 33 per cent less books than during the same period last year.

Among the recommendations of this research was the continuation of teaching with physical presence in classrooms as long as conditions of pandemic allow.

Minister of Education and Science Rame Likaj said they will commit even the second half year to continue being held at school facilities, as according to him teaching in schools is more effective than teaching at a distance.

The circumstances have been too difficult for all of us to agree on, it has been difficult for both the minister and for us DKA and schools, for parents, for the whole community, however, I believe that three scenarios have worked very well under the circumstances that we are in... teaching in most schools is being developed in scenario A, in scenario C, for example this week we have only 37 schools that have worked, but there are not even whole schools that pass a classroom depending on the number of infected, but I believe that the curriculum that was previously implemented to the best extent possible for the circumstances under which we are<1> he said.

Likaj announced that yesterday they have drafted a guide for teachers on how to operate during this four-week break.

He said that since the end of the first half-year has occurred earlier all hours will be replaced.

For children who have lost more than students or schools than five working days, spring break under the new calendar now there will be no. While, it is in full freedom of schools and municipal directors 4 days of work to compensate for Saturday, so that we can be on time because it's presumption with the new calendar correctly even the senior exams. It's a simple guide that went to schools, which means that we plan a total of it, we think that if everything goes well that it's 4 days of this half year and 5 days of the next half anniversary, which is 9 days, so spring break won't even have 4 days of this half anniversary will be replaced on Saturday, he said.
