Kosovo Central Bank Governor(BQK)Fehmi Mehmeti stressed today that according to economic projections, Kosovo is expected to mark a 7.2 per cent economic downturn.
“as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic, economic growth by 2020 is expected to mark a 7.2 per cent” decline, he said.
At the latest media conference, Mehmeti said remittances from the diaspora at this difficult pandemic time continued the course, from January to October, have scored 796.5m euros, with an annual increase of 12 per cent.
Governor Mehmeti said the banking sector this year has had a key role in the process of economic recovery, as this sector continues to be stable, stable and well-capitalised.
