8 arrested in Macedonia, planning terrorist attacks with ISIS ideology

Following long police and prosecution investigations, police yesterday raided several locations in the city of Kumanovo and Skopje and arrested all suspects. Suspects of terrorist organisations are between the ages of 21 and 32. Two of those arrested are genocideists, have already been in prison for illegal acts, while one of the members had participated earlier in the I war. SIS in Syria.
“Suspects have established organisation based on I ideology The SIS, and the goal was to commit murder and destroy public objects, in order to cause fear and uncertainty among citizens. For this purpose, members of the group had made more preparations, provided financial tools and weapons, military equipment, created improvised explosives, and made continuous evidence of”, police spokesman Tony Angelovski found.
The prosecution has discovered the group's communication on the social platform “WhApp”. The members there have also been informed of the transportation of equipment necessary for the attacks but also about suicide explosives.
In northern Macedonia, there are already several consecutive police actions aimed at breaking down terrorist groups. The last action was in September this year, when three members of a terrorist group that was being organised by the town of Kumanovo were arrested to stage attacks on public objects and citizens of northern Macedonia.
Even members of this group already had a past with participation in the I war. SIS and for that they were sentenced and put to death. The site in which heavy weapons gathered for the needs of the attacks was the same one in which police yesterday have seized a large quantity of weapons and other preparations of the eight-member group.
