According to Business Insider, the first 20 videos that appeared with research “the results of direct presidential elections 2020” were false.
One of them had more than a million subscribers, and more than a video was preceded by advertising, which means that account holders also earned money from the broadcast of false news.
YouTube has assured that it has removed all channels of disinformation and those that violate community guidelines.
“We have created policies that prohibit false mail, fraudulent practices and manipulations. We continue to monitor the content associated with elections in the pre-election period and after the” elections, YouTube told Business Institute.
