Subheader The PDK, Xhavit Haliti, is next summoned by the International Court of Justice's Specialised Chambers.
The deputy chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has indicated he has been summoned by the Special Court. In an interview for Abcnews, where he has spoken even about the arrests of Kosovo leaders, he says Ahmet Krasniqi was not involved in the killings that took place in Tirana in 1998 in Tirana, as he adds that he has asked Albania's prosecution in 2014 to open investigations.
I made a request to the state prosecutor in Albania in 2014 to start investigations and investigate as well because there were opinions in the media. Ahmeti was a friend and we had a co-operation from the first day that came to Albania. The arguments are so stubborn, I have no connections, the charges have become more political, and I am willing to face the justice organs and not the media that speculate” he said.
It is not yet known in what quality he was invited to be accused or suspected.
We remember that Haliti has been one of the first activists of the movements to have been dealt with in combating the Serbian regime in Kosovo and is also known as one of the main KLA figures.
