In Spain today, the highest number of victims from Covid-19 since the second wave broke out. Health authorities have reported 435 deaths today, bringing the number of victims to 41,688 since the beginning of the pandemic.
However, the number of new cases has declined, as only 13,159 has been reported today. In late October, about 24,000 cases were reported daily, and last week over 18,000, in the country with the highest number of infections in Europe (over 1.5 million) after France.
In late October, Spain declared a state of emergency for six months, allowing local authorities to impose a curfew and limit the movement of residents.
