Ibishi has said Serbia's threats should be taken seriously, however, but NATO's presence implies peace in the Balkans.
“Balkan has always been an apple of contention. I think that the very presence of international forces in the region, not only in Kosovo, but also in Bosnia and Herzegovina, gave the opportunity not to wage a war in the Balkans. Serbia's threats are real, not abstract. I don't want to disturb the opinion that this could happen, as we have the presence of NATO”, he said.
On the other hand, he has also clarified the reason, according to him, the failure of the security field in Kosovo.
“We have failed a great enthusiasm since the war, since the proclamation of independence, from there began to drop intelligence, due to the lack of good governance”, Ibishi said.
Serbia's president, Aleksandac Vuciq, said weeks ago that escalating conflicts could lead to armed clashes. Such a statement was seen with concern by Kosovo diplomats, calling it a threat, though the international factor remained silent over that statement.
Ibishi has seen the international silence of Vuciqi's statements as disturbing.
