Albin Kurti's party has called for new elections
Full status:
We heard today of calling before Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and PDK chairman Kadri Wessel. The charges against them relate to the KLA war, which for us always remains the right, clean, and liberation force. As Albanians, of course, we hope they return innocent.
Unfortunately, Kosovo today is unable to protect The KLA with its institutions, because ill-governance in post-war decades has resulted in in institucbrittle forms of justice, which have not won the trust of citizens, has also exacerbated Kosovo's relations with international partners.
We appreciate the gesture of the resignation by Hashim Thaci's presidency as appropriate, but delayed. It would be good to act since news of the charges came, not to leave room to think that in the background they are negotiating to save themselves from those charges. The last ten years are evidence of how anyone who has claimed to protect it The NLA has failed through secret markets, and has only increased the damage. The Special Court itself is the injustice produced by them, while we as the Movement, along with many veterans and citizens, protested it.
Now Kosovo needs new and free elections, out of which a government will emerge that enjoys support and legitimacy from most citizens, government that returns local and international credibility to Kosovo. The new president cannot get out of shopping in the old, warped Assembly, but will come out with integrity and credibility, from the new Parliament, following new elections. And until then, in a brief and transparent transition towards new elections, Mrs. Vjosa Osmani as Ud. The president's will contribute well to Kosovo's international image. Only an unpolluted, democratically elected government, not a trade product, will be able to advance Kosovo and protect it KLA and appreciate it. We must all become together in respect to the law, the will of citizens and democracy, not to establish it.
