The calculations in question spread unverified election results, according to photos circulated online and their analysis.
All four accounts were deactivated after reporting the alleged winner of one of the wavering states that had not been declared by the prestigious news agency.
“These are false accounts that are not related to the AP,” the agency said in a statement, the TCh reported.
The director of the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Agency at the National Security Department, Christopher Crebs, said on Twitter that “we are seeing reports from the false media accounts that are proclaiming the winner in a state, don't believe them! ”
