Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci today may not speak before The Hague's Specialised Chambers Court. This is because his team of lawyers, made up of Americans, British and Kosovars, will follow the typical American defense strategy, where lawyers speak on behalf of their client.
He is aware of sources in The Hague that lawyers Hooper and Prosper have suggested that Thaci today not speak at all before the court at the first session to be held this afternoon.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci today will be represented by one of the best lawyers in the world, with experience over two decades in international tribunalines.
Our sources have also confirmed that President Thaci today will be represented by the lawyer from Great Britain, David Hooper, who throughout his career has handled high profile issues, as well as American Pierre-Richard Prosper, former professor and former official of the American government. He served as Special Ambassador for War Crimes Issues by the administration of former US President George E. Bush in 2001-05.
Part of Thaci's team is Kosovo lawyer Dastid Pallaska.
