Scientists claim that patients infected with coronary, inflammation in the form of bubbles on their toes are observed months after infection.
The medical staff reports that they often see patients with this health problem, and doctors say that in most cases it affects children, Sun reports.
Experts from the International Dermatological Associations and the American Academy of Dermatology report that the situation usually occurs one week to four weeks after infection.
Those facing this problem may see how toes change color or swell.
Doctors mentioned that the situation with most patients is easy and that it will return to normal after weeks.
However, scientists stressed that each sixth person with COVID needs hospital treatment and that the situation may last for months.
Ister Freeman of the International Dermatology Record of COVID-19 said the problem disappears by itself in most cases, lasts on average 15 days and is relatively easy. However, there were patients whose condition remained for a month or two. Some patients struggle with their fingers as a result of COVID-19 to 150 days and have red and purple changes on their feet.
Freeman mentioned that this change of skin has just these characteristics and takes place in a subgroup of coronary patients.
The study showed that changes in the skin in the fingers occur in half of the coronary patients and that 16 percent of them were hospitalised.
Freeman added that inflammation on the fingers could be a signal of any other inflammation in the body, as well as that there are certainly many more people with this problem, but they are not registered. It shows that the actual data is just the iceberg's tip.
