Telekom raises alarm: Salad Workers at Risk and Service

Kosovo Telecom workers have not yet received the month's pay in October, and this, according to officials from this company, is because their bank accounts have been blocked as a consequence of debt to the company “Dardafo”. Telekom spokesman Menduh Abazi, over the phone that the situation at this company is alarming as they are endangered [...]

Telekom spokesman Menduh Abazi, by phone that the situation at the company is alarming, as services are also being jeopardised, while there is no response from the Kosovo government so far.

Ahaz stated that they have also received warnings from workers that they will not sit back in the face of a situation that could create other difficulties in its operation.

The situation continues to be the same as in the weekend, there is not a single change, the accounts remained blocked, and we have not so far a response, not by shareholders in the concrete case by the government of the country. This, in addition to putting the social situation at risk, which has compounded even more the social situation in pandemic times of all our colleagues, is putting the total Kosovo Telecom services at risk. So, we can't make sure that everything goes well in view of the fact that we operate every day, that we do payment every day and we have obligations to other operators, and by not having access to the account, we risk the fall of complete Kosovo Telecom operations. So all of the country's institutions are at risk of falling out of service because we cannot provide quality services to other services and as a result that we don't even have a single chance to make payments, but also as a result of workers who have warned that they won't stand by”, Abazi said.

Telekom spokesman has said that the Government of Kosovo, as the sole action of this enterprise, should react as much and come up with a solution
