Although the number of those infected by the pandemic is on the rise throughout Kosovo, the Ferizaj municipality continues to be one of the smallest municipalities affected by the Devi-19 virus, although at the beginning of the pandemic it was one of the leadership municipalities in the number of coronary cases.
Mayor Agim Aliu has said that despite the large number of tests, it has resulted in the largest number being negative.
However, given the rise in cases at the country level, he says the Ferizaj municipality could also face a greater number of infected people.
“at this stage when the second phase is already under way, or the second wave, Covid-19, has generally been calmer and we've had fewer cases against other municipalities. Despite the fact that we've had a considerable number of tests, with dozens and hundreds of tests, it has resulted in most of them being negative. So we've obviously had the least number of cases with Covid-19 at this stage, but of course that doesn't mean that the next few days we don't have cases with Ovidius, when we're considering the rise that's been done over and over again... It is now known that the republic's ranking figures are between 200 and 300, and this shows that very soon we in Ferizaj can face a greater number of cases of affected individuals-19”, Aliu said.
As for increasing the number of cases with Coved in schools, Aliu says this municipality has only four students and two teachers who have resulted in positive results with this virus and that there has been no need for the general closure of those schools.
There's no need to be closed... because we haven't had numerous cases with Coddy-19, in fact we have only two teachers who are active with Ovid-19, and four students who are positive with David, who show that there's no need, and there's no need, but what we've been doing and that we're constantly doing is appealing to respect the masses and every school is mandatory and are taking all the measures and actions in order to have protection from Covid-19<1>, says Ali.
While he says that for teachers and students who have resulted in positive with Avid-19, measures of isolation have been taken and that tests have been made on persons who have had contact with the infected and all have resulted negative.
“Measures of isolation have been taken and, of course, tests are expected for the communications they have had, but according to the results that have come, have resulted from negative cases, so it has made it easier to manage the situation in these schools where we have had cases to touch with individuals-19”, Aliu said.
Mayor Aliu hopes the Ferizaj municipality will continue to have its small number of cases with Covid-19, while stressing that they do not want to return to the stage when there are school closures or even city isolation.
