Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has been a little rough with Justice Minister Selim Selim Selimi, after the latter demanded a break in dialogue with Serbia following recent developments by the Special Court.
Hoti has said the principle of separation of powers that he knows and is clear to Minister Selimi must be respected.
He said his government does not intervene or comment on the decisions of justice bodies, according to him there is no room for conduct otherwise in the government he leads.
“We must respect the principle of separation of powers, in particular the minister of justice has this issue, we do not intervene or comment on the decisions of the justice organs, in the Government of Kosovo, there is no room for behavior otherwise, the legal basis and we have clear evidence of how we conduct ourselves in this situation to legally assist, the Constitution is clear how it is prosecuted further when the country has no president, each of you should continue with full capacity. This is the position we have to take as government”, Hoti said.
