Deputy Prime Minister Driton Selmanaj has been holding a virtual conversation today with the chief of the EU Office in Kosovo, Ambassador Tomash Szunyog and EU ambassadors to Kosovo, about re-organising the structures of the former European Integration Ministry within the framework of the Office of the Prime Minister.
Selmanaj announced ambassadors for Internal Organising and Systemisation of Jobs at the Office of the Prime Minister by Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, as well as the drafting of the new organisation of the Prime Minister's Office.
He argued that the organisational structures of the former European Integration Ministry will preserve their full structure and functions, which they have exercised so far in order to preserve knowledge and experience that has developed over the years.
During this conversation, Deputy Prime Minister Selmanaj stressed the fact that implementation of the Stabilisation Agreement -Asociation (MSA) and the European Reforms Agency (ARE2) are important to secure Kosovo's path towards European integration.
He also stressed the importance of co-operation with Civil Society Organisations (OSHC) as necessary precondition for effective implementation and monitoring of reforms and Action Plan for ARE 2.
Selmanaj, at the end of the meeting, expressed his disappointments over the long-standing visa liberalisation process for Kosovo citizens, saying a positive result regarding visa liberalisation would open the possibilities for implementing reforms necessary for the Republic of Kosovo.
